4-H Frequently Asked Questions

Below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions that will help you troubleshoot if you have difficulty with 4-H Online.  

Question: I am trying to re-enroll my family, but I get this error message: Email does not exist for the selected role. What should I do?
Answer: If you get this error message then it means that you are not using your “Family Email” to log in to 4-H Online. Do NOT create a new account. This will cause huge problems in the system. First, try logging in using your other email addresses. If that does not work, contact your club leader as they can provide you with your “Family Email.” If the family email they provide you with is wrong or outdated and you no longer have access to it, email our staff with your correct Family Email and we will change it in the system. Then you will be able to login successfully.

Question: I heard that in addition to enrolling electronically, I need to fill out some paperwork. How do I do that and who do I give it to?
Answer: Only members in Animal Projects need to print out paperwork. See the “Animal Paperwork” in the Enrollment Toolbox above.

Question: I can’t find my club in the list. What should I do?
Answer: Scroll down to check and see if you are already enrolled in that club. If you are already enrolled in it (this will be the case with our returning members) then there is no need to select it again. If you still can’t find your club, contact your club leader for assistance.

Question: I can’t find my project in the list. What should I do?
Answer: Scroll down to check and see if you are already enrolled in that project. If you are already enrolled in it (this will be the case with our returning members) then there is no need to select it again. If you still can’t find it, check and see if that is a project we are offering this year (many projects were discontinued.)  Take a look at our “List of Projects”.  If the project isn’t on this list, then we do not offer it any more. If it is on this list and you still cannot find it, contact your club leader for assistance.

Question: I can only enroll in the Cloverbud project. Why?
Answer: The birth date you have entered indicates that you are a Cloverbud member. Cloverbuds can only enroll in one project – Cloverbuds. For more information, contact your club leader.
