Join 4-H

4-H is a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant community where youth and adults are empowered to grow into positive and productive citizens. 4-H is a trusted community partner that provides relevant, experiential learning for all youth.

Youth who participate in 4-H get what all young people need to succeed in life: the confidence, compassion, and connections with caring adults to make contributions to their communities. Thank you for your interest in joining Arapahoe County 4-H!

Who Can Join
We welcome youth from any county ages 5-18 (as of December 31 of the current
4-H year), regardless of race, color, creed, sex, national origin or disability. 4-H’ers may enroll in one county only.

When to Enroll
4-H Enrollment opens on October 16 for all members.  New 4-H members may enroll in existing 4-H clubs by April 1 of each year. Returning 4-H members and leaders are encouraged to enroll in 4-H between October 1 – December 1 but may enroll by January 31 with a late fee.

Cost to Enroll
The 4-H annual member enrollment fee is $50 for an unlimited number of projects.  This fee covers project literature, accident insurance (covers State/County/Club 4-H functions with an adult 4-H leader supervising), a State Enrollment Fee and Colorado Youth Fund fee.

The enrollment fee for cloverbuds (members between the ages of 5-7) is only $40.

Returning members who enroll after the December 1 deadline will incur a $25 late fee, resulting in a $75 fee and have until Jan 31 to re-enroll.

How to Enroll

1. Find one or more 4-H projects that interest you.  Use the Project Selection Guide, which provides more detailed information about each project.

2. Find a Club near you that offers the project, or start a new club with a group of friends and a volunteer leader.

3. Once you have decided on a project of interest and a club that works with your schedule, please make contact with the club leader. They will be able to help you with the online enrollment process and collect appropriate fees and paperwork.

4. Go to our online enrollment database, 4Honline, and enroll in the club you have chosen!

5. Attend club meetings, pay enrollment fees and hand in any applicable hard copy forms to your club leader. They will hand in your fees and forms to our office. Once that is completed we will confirm you as a member. You will then receive your project manuals, start learning and having fun!

To learn more about how to use 4Honline and enrolling in the database please use the Enrollment Tool Box on the right sidebar on this web page.
