Located at Hudson Gardens & Event Center, the Demonstration Vegetable Garden is a cooperative project between Hudson Gardens & Event Center and our CSU Arapahoe County Master Gardeners.
The vegetable garden was started more than 20 years ago by a Master Gardener and Hudson Gardens volunteer. It has been expanded to its present size of 23 raised beds on the west side of the campus. The garden is planned, planted, maintained and harvested by the Arapahoe County Master Gardener program. It participates in the Colorado State University “Grow and Give” program that addresses food insecurity in Colorado. All produce harvested is donated to Integrated Family Community Services who distributes the fresh produce to their clientele.
The Master Gardeners are at the garden every Wednesday from 8:30am-10:30am May through September and have an informal “Meet the Vegetable Gardener” time to answer questions and talk about this unique garden. Please plan to visit the garden and see all the wonderful work the Master Gardeners are doing!
