Parent Leadership and Voice in Education during COVID-19

Our partners with NPLI have shared a free session for family leaders to attend tomorrow at the Institute for Educational Leadership’s Rise Up for Equity Summit.
Please share with other family leaders who are interested in issues pertaining to families and education during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Title:“Parent Leadership and Voice in Education during COVID-19”
Description: The session will include and highlight parent stories of leadership and educational impact in the home/family setting, the school and community setting, and on public policy. Parent leaders from around the Country will share school or education related challenges that they have faced while supporting learning at home during the COVID crisis. Parents will share their solutions, whether created with their children, another family member, a neighbor or school staff, or influencing legislation for what will become our ‘new normal’. A variety of stories highlighting struggles and solutions will be included.
Presenters: A diverse group of parents leaders from UPLAN (the United Parent Leadership Action Network), COFI (Community Organization and Family Issues), and NPLI (the National Parent Leadership Institute) will present stories, and the session will be delivered in English and Spanish.
